Jason has been an associate with the Seibels Law Firm, P.A. since 2006. His areas of practice are intellectual property, captive insurance, title claims, and litigation (particularly real property, construction, and insurance litigation). He has trial experience before a wide variety of tribunals, from county magistrate’s court to federal district court. Jason is also a registered patent attorney.
Jason graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a B.S. with a double major in Mathematical Sciences (Computer Science concentration) and Anthropology. He graduated with a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Bar and the editorial staff of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal (f/k/a South Carolina Environmental Law Journal).
After graduating from UNC and before beginning law school, Jason worked in software development for several multinational technology companies, focusing on voice-over-IP, wireless, and legacy circuit-switched telephony. His development experience ranged from minor software patches to massive projects that spanned multiple continents.
Jason is also a sixth-generation potter, and he is privileged to have works in the collections of museums, galleries, and private enthusiasts across the country. He is also a contributor to the Charleston Mercury on a variety of topics. In his spare time, Jason enjoys art, history, genealogy, and Tar Heel athletics.
